Why Novebar?
It started with an espresso machine that had a big “15 bar” printed on the box. But good espresso is pulled at around nine bars. The big number sells well; it says nothing about what ends up in your cup.
So I started comparing. Brew pressure against extraction, machine against grinder, and suddenly the figures made sense. Because the grinder decides more about good espresso than the machine often does.
That became Novebar. Nine bars, hence the name. A blog that does the comparing for you: we read spec sheets, work from published extraction data, and say what an assessment is based on.
If a machine doesn't hold up to its own numbers, we say so. If a cheap model is enough to get you started, we say that too. You should know what you're getting before you pay.

What Makes Us Different
Most sites in this space just pass the manufacturer's number straight through. The higher the bar-count, the better the recommendation sounds. We earn from affiliate links too, sure. But we only recommend what we'd buy ourselves.
A 300-euro machine plus a good grinder often makes better espresso than an 800-euro bean-to-cup machine. Expensive doesn't automatically mean better. It depends on how you drink your coffee and how much you want to dial in yourself.
